If your last negative and your last activity of any kind was in 98, then in '05 they should fall off. But, if in 2004 you decide to take the creditor up on his "generous" offer to reopen your account so you can pay off the past due balance, then you have just had "activity" and the 7 year clock starts all over from that point. So, guess what? Your 1998 negative that was getting ready to fall of will stick around now until 2011. Not only that, but, depending on what state you are in, the staute of limitations on collecting the debt was probably expired. So, they couldnt get a judgement against you anyway. But, once you renew the debt, if you default, you are wide open to suit again. Its no wonder creditors are suddenly making these offers. Its a win-win for THEM. Be warned.......

1st things first I am removing my old addresses on all 3 reports. Now, I have a question about Capital One Bank account. It is not listed on Equifax but it is on EXP and TU..my mom cosigned for it when I was 17 then my mom closed it about 6 months later, I am now 20. I was wondering if I should try to take it off or not.
(Loan money with low credit) As the consumer, you can only provide the information that is on your credit report regarding a specific trade line, your name and address. You don't need to give them ANY other information. If the information supplied is not enough for them to find you, oh well, account doesn't exist and you have proof to give to the CRA the trade line is indeed invalid.
Were I you, and I knew the SOL was run, I'd DV Cavalry a few days after they miss their 90 day window. Well, maybe you should do it now. I'm conflicted. If you do DV them now mention nothing about the DOLA at this time. When you do DV them, DV them via fax. Don't fax from home or office. Send DV CMRRR the same day too.
i know in seattle they pulled EQ for me...but thats all i know about them. i know the local bmw dealer pulls eq too.
