So I finally got a hold of Carrie in Special Handling at Experian and she was able to locate a phone number of someone in Probate to finally say, she's not deceased. So now this account is updated to settled, as of today. This is a 5 year old charge off.
(Get a student loan without cosigner) They will send the information on the program to me soon and I'll respond in kind.
Then the recording says "Goodbye." And it disconnects you.
